The Référentiel National de la Défense Extérieure Contre l’Incendie (RNDECI) ensures that fire tanks comply with current safety standards. This regulation stipulates the technical specifications, minimum capacities and other essential criteria to guarantee the effectiveness of reservoirs in protecting property and lives in the event of fire.
The Departmental Regulations for External Fire Defence
(RDDECI): drawn up by the SDIS, and approved by the Prefect of the département are the keystone
of the new DECI regulations.
It enables solutions to be defined that are adapted to the risks to be defended against, taking into account the resources and techniques of the SDIS and any developments. It is therefore consistent with the Schéma Départemental d’Analyse et de Couverture des Risques (SDACR). It complements the SDIS operational regulations.
